Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer who is best recognized as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. In 1956, she got her first big break with a performance on Broadway along with Li'l abner. Her album, It's too late for Tina that in the same year. Her first appearance into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 drama. It received wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's student. She signed on with CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her work in between Broadway television and Hollywood acting in more realistic roles, as opposed to her perception of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's gained recognition as a director on several well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was just three and she continued to live there throughout her childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the lead role.
